Kaze outputs a plain folder of files, so any static host works: Cloudflare Pages, GitHub Pages, Netlify, or your own web server. These steps cover Cloudflare Pages.

Option 1: build from Git

  1. Push your repository to GitHub.
  2. In the Cloudflare dashboard, go to Workers & Pages, create a Pages application, and connect the repository.
  3. Set the build command to python3 build.py and the output directory to dist.
  4. Save and deploy.

Cloudflare's build image includes Python, and Kaze has nothing to install, so there is no dependency step.

Option 2: build locally and upload

If you prefer to build on your machine:

python3 build.py
npx wrangler pages deploy dist --project-name your-project

This is how kaze.subimpact.net is deployed.

Custom domains

In the Pages project, add a custom domain. If the domain's DNS is on Cloudflare, the record and certificate are set up for you.

Before going live

  • Set url in content/site.json to your real domain. It is used for canonical links and the sitemap.
  • Add an og_image under static/ if you want social previews. The build warns if the file is missing.
  • Check the build output for [WARN] lines, such as unfilled placeholders.
